I was greatly helped last time I asked a question. I hope you can help me again. In my template at the bottom of the page, I want the user to enable to insert data, like in a form. It's like this: More information? Please contact.
The text is standard, fixed, always the same, and where the dots are I want to create a field where the user can fill in his own data, phone number etc. How can I realize this? I can't imagine this not to be possible but I searched the Word menus everywhere and cannot find a function called 'forms' or anything like it. The manual doesn't know about it either. Can you help me?
And can I do this while working in the Page Layout view? (which I like a lot) Thanks in advance.
Form controls can not be added when working in Publishing Layout View. My experimentation indicates that if you add the controls while in Print Layout View and then switch to Publishing Layout View that the form fields continue to work. The Developer tab of the Ribbon does not display in Publishing Layout View. I added some form controls to a custom toolbar, and even those disappeared when I switched to Publishing Layout view, so it would seem as if the only way to add these controls is to use Print Layout View (or perhaps another view - I didn't try them all).
